*Rapper Chris "Ludacris: Bridges has announced plans to open an upscale restaurant in his Atlanta hometown that will offer a modern twist on Singaporean cuisine, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Straits Restaurant, to debut at 793 Juniper St. in Midtown this April, will be an extension of three California dining spots with the same name run by chef/owner Chris Yeo.
The "modern Singaporean" menu will include sake sampler flights, a lemongrass beef entree, whole lobster and shrimp pad Thai and inventive vegetarian offerings, according to a press release. This market is ideal for Straits and likewise Straits is perfect for the city.”
The 215-seat Atlanta space will debut at the site of the now-shuttered Spice.
