After a four-year absence, Kelis awakens our senses with the visually striking video for “Acapella,” the first single from her fifth studio album Flesh Tone, arriving in the U.S. this June.
Kellis gives off an Avatar feel to her look in this video with a Gray Mullet. Kelis speaks about the Rankin and Chris Cottam-directed clip as having a “really strong, universal, tribal vibe to it.” Her eight-month-old son with Nas- Knight Jones, the inspiration behind the David Guetta production, makes his first public appearance strap-ed on Kelis back. I kind of like this song!!
